5 Easy Ways to Make Money Online

How many blog posts on making money online exist today? Thousands? Millions? Maybe even Billions?

Are there more than enough? Probably. But, there’s still a problem: many of them are just sales pitches to convince you to subscribe to a seminar, product, training session or some other way to become a millionaire online. They require you to spend an initial investment in their own webinar and resulting you in taking away your precious time to work on something that isn’t proven to help you. It is more than possible to make money online without having to subscribe or commit endless hours to educating yourself. I mean, the people selling all the millionaire releases are making money, right?

The other problem is that the majority of people reading these kinds of blog posts are already done with the standard clichés of making money and don’t want to spend unwarranted effort trying something that isn’t guaranteed to work. People want results, not theories.

This blog post is the compilation of the best tips we could find and use.

There are legitimate ways to make money online, but the problem is that the real ways to make money are not “get rich quick” schemes. Most of them require a lot of work and sometimes a lot of dedication before seeing a return to their time. But, if you really want to make money online, work from home or turn an idea into a business, you can do it.

I’m going to tell you all kinds of legitimate ways to make money online. First off, since we’re talking about legitimate jobs, you have to be…well…legitimate. Many of these options are real jobs that require putting in hours if you want them to get paid. They also require real work. Here are some tips to get the job done:

running-man
Run, man, run!

Take it seriously. Yes, you are applying for a job online. Yes, you can do the work on your underwear, but that does not mean it is not a “real job”. You should treat it as such or you will not be treated as a serious candidate. You’re not the only person who wants to work in underwear. In fact, online competition is likely more than it is in your local area.

Be professional. When you submit a curriculum, do not write in capital letters and do not avoid blocking the case as if it were the plague. Emprende to use it without appearing incompetent. Write complete sentences with correct grammar. Of course, there will be exceptions, but even with the exceptions, you should keep it to the professional. He is building his view of you.

Give some but not all. If you are providing handwriting samples, a photo portfolio or links to your work, give them enough examples to get the idea, but not so many that the client does not know where to start. And while we’re on the subject, tell your employers some of your background, but do not tell the story of your life, because you want to present the best working image of yourself as possible.

Check for yourself. Make sure that everything you send to a company, whether a resume, an email or a portfolio, is ready to be sent. Check your grammar and writing and for God’s sake use spell check! This is especially important when dealing with the name of the company. Do not spell your bad name and be sure to type it (Problogger, not Pro Blogger).

Let’s get started.

1. Instant Paying Sites

Let’s go ahead and get it out of the way. There are all kinds of websites that pay you for various things, such as shopping, taking surveys or testing products. No, I’m not getting paid to promote any of these and no, these websites will not make you a millionaire, but they are great for earning some extra money. If you want to earn a little bit of quick cash, get started with these, and the longer you use them, the more they will reward you with. These ‘instant paying’ sites will grant you money through tasks with no initial experience or roadblocks in order to get started; and heck, you can do these without even any education requirements — I’m sure there are kids and teenagers out there using these websites.

If you want to make money faster, you eat the binary options, but that requires investing money. This is for people who want to earn money now.

Here are some legitimate sites that pay:

Swagbucks – Swagbucks is ideal to earn some extra money. You can do a variety of things to make money by taking surveys to use your search engine. Do not get rich, but you will earn a few dollars. If you have the time to kill, you can spend it earning some extra money, rather than surfing the web.

InboxDollars – InboxDollars is similar to Swagbucks, since you will be taking surveys, shopping, etc., so if you want to maximize your turn signal, up to two sites. They also offer a search engine that pays you (like Swagbucks) and you will get $5 just for signing up.

Project Payday – Project Payday is one of those sites that have testimonials of people who have won thousands of dollars to get paid for trial offers. I am not saying you will earn thousands, but it is legit and you can earn some extra money. They assume that when paying to do a free trial, they will like the product and buy it or forget to cancel the trial and charge for it. If you can keep track and cancel before they charge (if you do not want the product), then this is a good place to make some money.

User Test – test user pays $10 a pop for testing websites. A test usually takes about 15-20 minutes. The purpose is for the owner of a website to see who is new to your site, try to walk it. The value that the site owner gets when viewing a real user experience is worth a ton, but $10 is not a bad payout.

Fiverr – Fiverr is a great place to earn a few dollars or spend a few dollars if you need to offer some of the services. Basically, everything is $5. You pay $5 or you charge $5. They call them “Curro”. You can offer your services however you choose. If you sell art and you are selling well pieces for $5 each, it is a concert. If you are a graphic designer and want to offer your services for $10 / hour, they simply offer a 30-minute concert. If you need two hours of graphic design, you will pay $20 and $10 / hour by purchasing four concerts.

IZEA – IZEA also working on a blog or your own. They are paid to blog, tweet, take photos and take videos. The pay is based mostly on the next, so if you want to make money with your tweets, you need to develop a Twitter follower base. Also, if you want to make money with blogs, you will need substantial blog traffic (below the blog).

2. Independent Writing

Freelance writing is one of the most popular ways to make money online. Many successful freelancers can earn an average of 50 cents to a dollar a word. Some are winning twice!

Of course, do not start out like that. You have to build your portfolio and your resume, blah, blah, blah. If you are interested in writing, I’m sure you know it. If you are not interested in writing, I would not recommend traveling this way just for the money.
It takes dedication and time, although it can be very profitable if it is what you like. Assuming it’s what you like, let’s talk about making money with it.article-writing

Before you decide to start reaching out to all freelance writing companies, you need to have a web presence. You need a blog (in my humble opinion blogger, of course).
Or you could just have an online portfolio. Even a profile on LinkedIn works to start.

Now for what everyone has been waiting for: Once you are ready to start making money, here are the top websites that you can start with:

Listverse – Listverse pay $100 for each post accepted. The article should be a list, must be at least 1,500 words and should include at least 10 things. Apart from that, you can get quite creative with it.

TopTenz – TopTenz pay $50 for each post accepted. Again, the article has to be in list format and must be at least 1,500 words, with few exceptions. They often publish so their chances of getting accepted are quite high.

A List Apart – A List Apart pays $200 for each accepted post. You are not first on the list, as you tend to post less articles, which means you have less chances of getting accepted. Same guidelines as above, 1,500 words minimum.

International Living – International Living pays $75 for each post accepted. It is mainly sought for travel experiences from countries that have visited. For this site, it is more about your experience than your writing ability.

FundsforWriters – FundsforWriters pay $50 for each post accepted. They are looking for articles on writing and making money with it. They only accept articles between 500-600 words, but they want you to make every word count.

Uxbooth – Uxbooth pays $100 for each post accepted. It tends to take four to eight weeks to accept and publish articles, so do not count on this being a fast money maker. They take so long, as they pair with publishers to post only amazing content.

iWriter – iWriter pay $15 for each post accepted. That may seem small, but air

Textbroker – Textbroker pays five cents per word, if you’re a writer out of 5 stars. You start by submitting a short sample article and you will most likely start as a 3 star writer but you can work your way writing more and writing great content.

Matador Network – Matador Network pays up to $60 per post accepted, but standard payment is around $20- $25. They do not really concentrate on a minimum number of words, but they have a maximum number of 1,500 words.

The Penny Hoarder – Penny Hoarder pays up to $800 (rarely), depending on the number of visits it receives. The payment starts at $100 for 50,000 page views, so this is not guaranteed paid item, but potentially can be very rewarding.

There is no doubt that you can make money with independent writing, but it is a process. Once you start building your portfolio and your writing skills, you can start making some serious money. If you are not an experienced writer, expect to put some time in before you actually start seeing some results.

3. Selling Your Stuff

Selling your stuff is as simple as selling an apple at a market.

Since the idea of online auctions was born, the online sales market has been increasing. Many are interested but do not know how to start. There are all kinds of ways to make money selling online, whether you are selling what you already have or buying and selling as a store. Before you begin, here are some general tips when selling anything online:

Get a PayPal account. If you do not have a PayPal account, you will want to get one if you are doing business online. It is the standard in online business to receive payment and pay others.

Take good pictures. Some of the following options do not really require taking the photo and selling the product, but for those, make sure that you take a clear picture that makes your product stand out over others. If you’re going to take lots of photos, set up a small “studio type” area in your home with a backdrop and the appropriate lighting to actually make your photos come through as a professional. And of course, you’ll want a good camera too.

Trust is a huge factor in trading deals.

Be honest. If you are selling used articles, be honest about every dent, scratch, stain, etc. This will reduce many problems you might have and keep your comments positive.

Do good business. Simply and plainly. If you want to sell on a small site or open an online store, your customer service is important. You will want to get those positive comments and make a good name for yourself. Respond to questions, concerns, and complaints. Offer a guarantee if available. Follow these directions and you will do well in online sales.

When you are ready to start selling, here is where you go:

Amazon – have you heard of FBA? He stands for “Fulfilled by Amazon” and is becoming very popular. Basically, you buy products (wholesale is better) and send them to Amazon for them to store. When they sell their products, Amazon packs up ships out and sends you money (after taking your chop). There are people living full time off of FBA, while others only do it for some extra money.

Ship it!

CraigsList – some things do not ship well. Other things can make you uncomfortable selling to someone across the country. Whenever you sell a large item or something that you do not want to send, Craigslist is a great place to go. It’s simple your article (again, take good pictures!) From the list. If you do not like the idea of putting your phone number there, the person interested can send a message to your inbox without still getting your email address.

eBay – of course, you can not read an article about making money online that does not mention eBay. You can start a store on eBay and get serious or you can only sell some things to sort your home. Either way, I’ve done my fair share of selling on eBay and it’s still a popular way to make money. If you decide to start a real eBay store, you will want to find a business drop ship like Doba that will store and ship the items directly to your customers so that you do not have to deal with an inventory.

Etsy – if you like making crafts, you can sell them totally free Etsy. You can easily open a shop on Etsy. Simply register, publish the photos of your creations and from sales. You can choose your payment option, but PayPal is usually the easiest. Etsy is easy to sell and keep track of your inventory. There is a small fee listed and they take 3.5% of each sale you make.

Facebook – Facebook exchange stores are great for selling things locally. It’s like CraigsList, but a little easier. Just look for swap shops in your area and ask to join the group. Once in, take a picture of the item, write a quick description with price and post-it. It does not get much easier than that. You can usually expect about what you might get at a yard sale, maybe a little more.

4. Blogging

Hey look, an article about making money online that does not mention blogs … oh wait, here it is.

First, writing this blog makes me a blogger myself. Being a blogger means that you dedicate yourself to writing to the online public and working on maintaining your audience, but more importantly, it’s also a legitimate way to make money. Quite possibly it is the least direct form of income on this list, but it is very feasible and is also possibly the funniest form on this list. I love blogging and I know hundreds of bloggers who feel the same way. So let’s talk about making money blogging and what it really means.

blogging

Blogging is something that requires patience, persistence and discipline. This may mean writing every day for over a year before actually starting to see money from him. There are exceptions to the rule, but from my relationships with other bloggers, it seems to be fairly common to spend a year or two building your blog, your brand, and your authority, before you make any serious amount of money.

Some people argue that you can make money without a lot of traffic and while it is true in some circumstances, you generally need a lot of website traffic to start earning from a blog and it takes a while. When you have reached that point, here are the main ways to monetize your blog and start winning:

Advertising – this is certainly the oldest way to make money with a blog. It is also starting to become the less common form. You can sell advertising space directly on your site or you can enroll in a company like Google AdSense or Media.net. Either way, you will not see a lot of money from ads until your views to thousands every day.

Affiliates – there are many affiliate networks like FlexOffers and CJ affiliate that allows the promotion products and services of others. Simply put a link or banner on your page and then you get a percentage if someone clicks through and buys the product or service. You will want to select products that are specifically within the category of your blog. This is an effective way to make money once you traffic to your blog.

Membership – many people have created a paid membership area in their blogs. This is usually for exclusive content that can only be accessed in the “Members Only” area. If you have an idea about what they really are, this can be a great idea. You will have to create something that can not be easily accessed on the web.

Products – you can create your own product like an ebook or computer software. Then you use your blog as a promotional tool to get people to buy your product. As you create a legitimate product with plenty of value, you should be able to get some buyers, but like everything else with a blog, you will need traffic to get the sale.

Services – can offer a paid service such as life coaching, coaching blog, or financial
planning goals. Be sure to investigate all the legal customer-serviceimplications and make sure that we are not claiming a professional if you are not one. With a service like this, you’re basically using your blog to sell yourself. You will have to convince people that you are worth buying and be able to back up your claims once you purchase their service.

Sponsored by / paid tickets – many blogs post sponsored posts and paid. Sponsored posts are basically just messages about a specific brand, product or service. A company will pay you to publish an article about it. It is similar with other paid posts as well. Its basically sell the land to see the item on your site. If you decide to take this route, you will want to build your traffic before you get many offers.

Subscription – if you think something valuable (newsletter, magazine, etc.) that you can offer consistently in a way (weekly, monthly, etc.), you may want to offer a subscription service. This could be a charge they charge every time your product is shipped out or on a monthly basis. Either way, this has to be something your customers can only get by subscribing to your website.

Videos – this could be a whole section on your own. video-cameraMany people have made money by creating YouTube videos. EvanTube is a child who has created his own kid-friendly YouTube channel that has garnered over 3,500,000 subscriber and has made millions by creating product reviews other children would use. It is not easy to get millions of views on videos, but even if you get a few thousand views, you’ll start to see some money coming in. Many bloggers have completely converted videos to get their point across in a blog form and repurpose the content from a new vantage point.

If you are really interested in becoming a blogger, start by looking in the archives of ProBlogger, Copyblogger and Smart Blogger. Go free Read all guides to Quick Sprout. It may take a year to complete the tasks alone, but it will be worth it. You are practically going to have an MBA in the blogs.

5. Work From Home

Finally, there are some companies that are hired to work from the comfort of your home. If you are interested in working for someone else, while still making your own schedule and deciding where to work from, here are some companies that will allow you to do just that:

work-from-home

Crowdsource – Crowdsource offers many kinds of jobs “microtask” a larger writing and editing jobs. You decide how much you work and can do most of the right on your computer.

Demand Studios – Demand Studios is hiring all kinds of creative professionals, filmmakers writer. The pay is not surprising, but it is competitive for a work-at-home job.

Fast Chart – Fast Chart allows you to work from home as a medical transcriptionist. There are some requirements and qualifications that appear on the page, but if you meet with them, you will make competitive payment for the industry. You can also set your own schedule since you will be working from home.
